Shared note | He (aged 36), his wife Anna (aged 37), and two of their children arrived at the port of New Orleans on the ship Plata 4 May 1891. The port of departure was Palermo, Italy. The only children listed were Rosolia (or Losolia) aged 2 years 10 months and Emmanuele aged 11 months. He was listed as a machinist. His name was Nicolo Maria Alessandra, and his wife was Anna Alessandra. The family resided in New Orleans before moving to Texas. They briefly lived in Pueblo, Colorado. He and other family members were listed in the 1904-1905 City Directory of Pueblo, Colorado. Nicolo M. Alessandro was listed as a "Grocer and contractor in Frame, Brick, and Stone." He was employed at 919 Eldorado Ave., and resided at the same location. Victor, Alexander, and Giaccomo (is this one of the sons, perhaps Jack, or another relative?) resided in the same location. There is an Anton as we... perhaps that was Tony? He is listed with the others, but no residence is given for him. They made some of the nice grillwork in New Orleans. Their sons played in a band.
