He was Thomas I. Grier, residing at Poth, Texas, born 20 Oct 1859 in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas. He was married to Mrs. Thomas I. Grier. He was retired. His father was Robert Grier born in Ireland. His mother was Refugio Losoya born in San Antonio, Bexar County. He died 11 Jul 1940 of nephritis chronic. Old age was marked out, as was some other words under the cause of death. Mrs. Thomas I. Grier was the informant. He was buried in Poth on 13 Jul 1940.

HIs middle initial might have been "J" since there is a newspaper article in the San Antonio Light newspaper which says A. D. Grier, T. J. Grier, and R. F. Grier who were brothers and well known stockmen of Wilson and Karnes counties were in town and eating meals at the Central.
