Shared note

He usually went by the name of "Boyd." His middle name, Boyd, was chosen because it was the name of the doctor who delivered him (Dr. Boyd Alexander of Waco, Texas). Many of the family members were delivered by him.

During World War II, Boyd had a cousin named O. C. Turner who was in the army. O. C. got a call from Albert Rhoads who had a sister that he wanted O. C. to meet. That same night O. C. met Mozell whom he later married. Mozell had a cousin named Juanita Skinner. Six months after she married O. C., Mozell got Juanita to start corresponding with Boyd who was in the army. They met for the first time after Boyd returned home on leave. They married within a couple of months of their first face-to-face meeting. They were married for over 53 years.
