On his death bed on July 23, 1763 he deeded all his property to his father-in-law George Rives of Meherrin parish, Brunswick County, Va. Witnesses were John Tomlinson, John Housman, Benjamin Sykes, and William Cook (who was a member of the family of Sarah Cook Rives). Sarah was the wife of George Rives. When he died his wife was pregnant with Henry, his third child. |
