There was a Lavonia T. Shanks, age 1, d. 6-12-1904, Mart Cem. (2-58) listed in the Index to Early McLennan County Deaths, compiled by John M. Usry. She is buried in Mart Cemetery (grave found 21 Feb 2002) but it does not appear to be near any other Shanks. Is this a child that belongs to this family, or another? The age would be right, but the 1910 census indicates that May had only had three children at that time. Of course that could be in error.
