Charlie G. Scales
Charlie G. Scales, 75, of 3801 Morrow died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Connally-Compton Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. E.J. Culp and the Rev. Noel Guice officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park.
Mr. Scales was born March 26, 1909 at Sweetwater. He lived in Waco most of his life. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II. Mr. Scales was a retired tool foreman for Foster-Wheeler Corp. in McGregor.
He as a member of American Legion Post 440 and was a deacon at Gateway Baptist Church. He was married to Edna Mays on Nov. 28, 1945.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter Clarice Boucher of Austin; a sister, Mildred Herring of Ballinger; three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
The family has designated Gateway Baptist Church building fund for memorials.
