She died of a coronary occlusion due to chronic articular (?) inflamation. There had been no operation and there was no autopsy. burial was 15 Jun 1939 in Midland, Texas. Obituary: Mrs. Mary Emma Gault Midland, June 15 Funeral for Mrs. Mary Emma Gault, 60, wife of J. R. Gault, who died unexpectedly at her home here Wednesday morning following a heart attack, was held at First Baptist church here Thursday afternoon. The Rev. H. D. Bruce, pastor, officiated. She had been a resident of Midland since 1923. Mrs. Gault had been bedfast for the past six years with rheumatism. Mrs. Gault is survived by her husband, one son, Alton A. Gault, one daughter, Mrs. Cella Shafer, and by one granddaughter, Mrs. Ernest Nance, all of Midland. Five sisters and four brothers also survive.
