Shared note

In the Limestone Co., Texas, Cemetery Survey, Vol. 1, Part 2, Published by Limestone Co. Historical Museum, P. O. Box 592, Groesbeck, Texas 76642, 1988 compiled by Virginia J. Bounds, Imogene C. Barham I found the following record: section XXVI (Mexia Cem.) p. 389, Anderson, Janie H. 1891-1935 and Anderson, A. Warren 1873-1947 had a double marker. This appears to be the correct man. If so, Mae's marriage to Dease was very soon after Warren Anderson's death--so what does this mean? Anything? He was married at the time of his death, according to his death certificate, however, so perhaps he just wanted to be buried with his first wife. Mae's third husband died at the same place as Warren, so apparently, Mae was living in the house where Warren died, and continued to live there with her third husband. The date of birth does have some conflicts. The obituary only gives an age, which could be 1872-1873. His death certificate says he was born 14 Mar 1872 (correct age, matches the obituary). The records of the tombstone, however, from the aforementioned book, as well as Find-a-Grave listing for Alfred Warren Anderson gives the year of birth as 1872, with no month or day. I am not certain of the source of that record, however, since it says he was born in Mexia, and that apparently was not correct. There is also a conflict over whether he was born in Freestone or Limestone County. More research needed at this time.

On his death certificate, R. L. Anderson of Austin was the informant. F. M. Anderson born in Jackson, Mississippi was the father, and Mollie Thomason born in Freestone Co., Texas was the mother.
