(The above information was obtained from the Internet, November 15, 1997.) The following information was obtained from the Internet on Nov. 15, 1997: James Goodson conveyed a gift deed of 435 acres to his son Zachariah Goodson. This was "all the residue and remainder of my lands in plat hereunto annexed except a part lying below Robinson Branch conveyed heretofore to Ezekial Goodson (lay in the fork of Robinsons branch.)" Joseph E. Rhodes and James McLendon witnessed the deed, and James Goodson signed his mark. There is an attached oath by James McLendon in which James Goodson was referred to as James Goodson senior. (Darlington District Deed Book I or J, pp. 263-264, photocopied from microfilm by Chris Outlaw). There is the following reference from the Report Book 1842-1854, p. 58: "Z.
