He "married Susan Lee and became the father of; James, David, Billy, Henry, & Jane." (31) The Bozeman typescript adds the family of his second wife and shown information. This typescript gives the wife's name as Susan Williams Lee (A widow Lee or is Williams her middle name?) The story that Susan was poisoned by a slave cook given to her by her parents is debunked on one of the unnumbered last pages of the booklet. His will, is copied in CEMcD notes, p. 101.
He bought two pieces of land in Lowndes Co. on 9 Feb 1856 -- Township 11 N, Range 16 East, Sections 14 and 23. Joseph Daniel and Susan lived their married life near Farmersville, Lowndes Co, AL.
There are two notices on J. D. "Uncle Joe" Bozeman from "The Greenville Advocate", dated 28 Dec 1887, and an obit from the 1 Jul 1896 edition which also, in the Personal column of that date, noted "Mr. W. F. Bozeman of Center Hill, Fla., came home to see his..
