There is a marriage record for C. L. Avara and E. F. Gilcrean, 1866, p. 375 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. Could this be a second marriage?

Census:
1860, Daleville, Lauderdale, MS, Series: M 653 Roll: 585 Page: 351
775/754, C. L. Avara, 32, m, farmer, 600, 200, GA
Susan M. ", 28, f, doin business, AL
Henry W., 10, m, MS, attended school
Margaret J. " , 8, f, MS, attended school
Susan A. " , 6, f, MS, attended school
Cynthia " , 5, f, MS
Sylvester W. ", 2, m, MS
William C. " , 8/12, m, MS
On the same page is S. S. (Or it could be L. L. or a combination of the two -- hard to distinguish) Avara, 30 m, farmer, 800, 400, GA
Cynthia S. " , 21, f, doin bus., MS
Marg J. " , 4, f, MS
Thomas " , 1, m, MS
This might be the brother of C. L. More research needed. There are a lot of Avara families in Mississippi at that time, it seems. They might be all related.

1880, Austin, Travis, Texas, Series: T9 Roll: 1329 Page: 251
Mesquite St.
44/54 He is listed among many others, all prisoners in the county jail.
Avara, Cullen L., w, m, 52, prisoner, widower, farmer, maimed crippled bedridden or disabled, GA, NC, GA

Among other information:
Census: 1860, Rushing Store, Lauderdale, Mississippi, Series: M653 Roll: 585 Page: 365
There is also (868/846) T. S. or S. L. Avara, aged 25, with his family of a wife and six children, and (871/849) A. (? there is an ink spot that makes it hard to read) J. Avara, 35, and family with a wife and five children, and (872/850) Thomas, 70 or 90, farmer, NC and Jane, 58, born GA. Could this couple be the parents of the others?

It appears that Thomas and Jane are the parents of C. L. Avara and his siblings. Apparently Thomas also had a first wife named Tabitha who gave birth to Martha. Cullen L.'s wife may have been named Susan Margaret House. Their son Sylvester also married a House. Her name was apparently Cynthia Susannah House. There may have been a third wife, Lucretia Sewell (b. 1830) m. 9 Aug 1877 in Limestone County, Texas, USA.
