Citation details: accessed 16 Feb 2022), Obituary of William Michael Blankenship, Jr. Quality of data: primary evidence Date: February 16, 2022 Text: Obituary Michael was born in Olney, Texas, on October 13, 1980. He touched the hearts of all who knew him. Michael was a precious gift, always happy and loved unconditionally. He loved to go to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza, games, and the mechanical puppet show. Michael loved his family. A special thanks to Shawn, Christy, James, and all who cared for Michael at Southern Concepts. He left us without warning when Jesus called him home. Our hearts are broken at this loss, but we know we will meet again someday. Those left to cherish and celebrate his life are his mother, Kathy Blackburn Mims of Fort Worth; three aunts, Ann Blankenship, Jerry Rux, and Betty Lou Blankenship of Seymour, along with many cousins, beloved friends, and extended family. Michael is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Muriel and Cleo Blankenship; brother, James William Blankenship; father William Michael (Mike) Blankenship, all of Seymour; and maternal grandparents, C. J. (Slim) and Merle Blackburn of Sanger. Services to celebrate Michael's life are at 1:30 pm on Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Church of Christ in Sanger. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to the Special Olympics at www.specialolympics.org or The Community Enrichment Center, 6250 NE Loop 820, Fort Worth, Texas 76180, (817) 281-1164.
