His father "lived 2 blocks from the courthouse, across the street from the Catholic Church. He (Josiah Goodson Daniel) and Lizzie are buried in a cemetery in Greenville, AL". (CEMcD notes) Mrs. Broach's undated letter continues: "My grandfather was Josiah Goodson Daniel, born Butler Co., Alabama, a soldier in the Civil War. He was married to Armanda (sic) Black, also of Butler Co.... Armanda died soon after my father was born..." Newspaper not identified. Obit: "Greenville, Ala, Apr 15, 44. James Frank Daniel died 4/15/44, age 67. Forty years was Sect of Sunday School of First Meth. Church. Past Master Eureka Masonic Lodge. Connected with Beeland Bros. Mercantile Co. for 41years. Survivors: Wife, Clara Steiner Daniel, 1 daughter: Mrs Ferrell Broach, 1 grandchild _____; 2 sisters, Mrs T. E. Greene, Greenville, AL and Mrs Theo Brock of Georgianna , AL.

In the "Record of Estate, Book 27, Butler Co, AL" there is an acknowledgement notice of the filing of the application to Probate Frank's will, signed by his wife Clara and daughter Bettie, but it is dated April 1949, five years after Frank died . Why?
